In addition to a new coordinator, the GOLD program also welcomes three new faces to the team. Saying goodbye is such sweet sorrow, especially when you have to say goodbye to faces and personalities who have been integral to the community. But we are confident that newest additions to the GOLD family will help to take GOLD to the next level. Please join us in welcome Ms. Rachel, Coach Burger, and Mr. Robert to the team. Their bios will added to the staff section shortly.

One thing we can certainly depend on in life is change. Seasons change, hair styles change, trends change...and as you guessed, GOLD has changed. Ms. Kanitha has been given a tremendous opportunity to continue her work in supporting the AoA community in a different capacity this year. That opportunity has opened the door for a new GOLD Coordinator. Enter Coach Mike. Coach Mike comes to GOLD with well over 20 years of experience in the areas of youth development and education. With his experience, energy, and expertise (wow look at the alliteration), we are sure that GOLD has been left in some pretty good hands. Check out the staff section of the GOLD website for more on Coach Mike and few more new faces to the GOLD team.
One of the downsides of having awesome and qualified staff is that they are constantly learning, growing, improving, and eventually moving on! We are sad to see Mr. Rene, Mr. Carl, and Ms. Bianca go, but in their departure came Mr. Kevin, Mr. Ron, and Ms. Nifa! Check out our GOLD Staff page for more info!

Shout out to Tech and Mike at Bay to Bay Jumpers (http://www.baytobayjumpers.com/) for always helping us out. The students and staff had way too much fun bonding and spending some time together.
On the 15th, we had our club faire that introduced our new round of enrichment classes (listed in the previous post). So far we've seen contraptions being built, songs being sung, books and movies being reviewed, and some basketball basics practiced!
